Stopped by after a college tour. Was interesting to learn that the ice cream is made from a dairy farm belonging to U Delaware. There's also a class for students to learn about the process and come up with their own flavors to be voted on. The classic milkshake was great. No complaints at all except for the calories...there is lots of seating indoors and some outdoor tables too. Enjoy!

Amazing ice cream! Been here several times as a student as a grad student a decade ago at the University of Delaware and went back with my wife and best friend last weekend. The service is friendly and fast and the seating is limited inside with a couple picnic tables outside. We ended up eating it in the car and it was wonderful. I love that they now have a Cookie Monster flavor called Om Nom Nom that my wife and I shared with the peach First State Cobbler special. Look forward to returning next time in Newark.

Delicious homemade ice cream with unique 20+ seasonal and classic flavors. Whenever we drive up from Northern Virginia to King of Prussia, PA, we make a pit stop at UDairy for a sweet treat with a generous ginormous serving! The ice cream has a high freezing point and doesn't melt right away. While there's no option for a split scoop, you can get a Kiddie scoop or a flight of 4 flavors. My favorites include All Nighter, Mint and Cookies, Nom Nom Nom, and Delaware River Mud Pie, and Ch Ch Ch Chocolate. All Nighter - The sweet and savory flavor tastes like mocha with a coffee base and cookie dough, chocolate sandwich cookies, and fudge. Bursting with flavor in every bite. Ch Ch Ch Chocolate - True to its chocolatey name, the flavor is frozen cocoa ice cream with chocolate chunks, chocolate sandwich cookies, chocolate cake crunchies and a fudge swirl. Delaware River Mud Pie - Chocolate Cookies and Cream was delicious! Nom Nom Nom - Fun blue ice cream with cookie dough and cookies and cream. Mint and Cookies - Tastes like a thin mint cookie. My preference over the Mint Chocolate Chip. Cookie Dough Dynamite - Loaded with cookie dough. The flavor was a bit more bland and I would opt for Nom Nom Nom. 1st State cobbler - Wasn't a big fan of the peach ice cream with blueberry swirl and cinnamon. Fun to try, but very sweet! The Apple Cider didn't quite hit the spot either. While the housemade crispy waffle cone adds a nice crunch, it's surprisingly very sweet and doesn't have that savory sweet pairing with the ice cream that I was hoping for. Impressively, I was able to make it to the bottom of a cone without any ice cream dripping onto my hand. No mess! Before getting sprinkles, just ask the shop if they have them as they sometimes run out. One time the staff topped off my ice cream with a thick coat of crunchy round nonpareils instead of sprinkles (the shop ran out), which overpowered and ruined the Nom Nom Nom flavor. While there's a porta potty, it's a bummer the restrooms aren't open to the public. Always excited to stop by and grab a scoop!

This was a minute from out hotel and I ended up having it as a late breakfast and let me tell you -- GO! I've been looking for one like my favorite dairy barn at UConn and this one comes pretty close. Super nice college workers there too!

Good ice cream shop near campus. My favorite is the 1st State Cobbler. Fun, seasonal flavors and the service is speedy. As the weather continues to pick up, be sure to set some time aside to wait for the line, but be assured the wait is worth it. Also seating options nearby, which make it great for families or friends.

Believe the hype! If you're near Newark, Delaware...get HERE! Icecream is fresh, made by UD students at their local dairy farm through the college of agriculture You have NEVER experienced icecream so creamy and delicious! It's so filling, I learned the hard way that a single scoop is enough! They have regular flavors and seasonal selections. You can try before you buy, so you know you will love it. We regularly visit this location on Main Street whenever we are in town. The service is always so friendly and attentive. There's an indoor sitting area to enjoy your treat.

Good quality ice cream combined with a good mix of flavors. Tried butter pecan, banana and scotch, peach- all of them were tasty! Prices seemed very reasonable for the quality. Will be visiting again especially for their seasonal flavors.

Really delicious homemade ice cream that uses ingredients from the School of Agriculture and is made and served by UD students. What more could you want?? As an alum let's just say I'm glad this I opened after I graduated - that would've been dangerous. The ice cream is super tasty and they have tons of flavors, though be warned it melts fast (probably because it doesn't have many preservatives) and they give you a lot for your money. We were with friends who got their kids 1 single each which included 2 scoops - way too much for little ones (they kept saying they should've gotten one for the kids to split). Lots of benches to sit and enjoy outside, though eating ice cream while smelling manure is a funny experience. :P

While taking one of my stepsons on a tour of the University of Delaware, we decided we had to stop at the UDairy Creamery. The students run the farm and make the ice cream. The ice cream was excellent! There are many flavors and a "single" is a large amount of ice cream. I had strawberry and loved it! It's a quick stop off I-95 if you're in Delaware. Give it a try!!
